Cross-posted from www.hias.org.

Last week, President Obama released the White House’s priorities for immigration reform in a Las Vegas speech. His remarks came a day after a bipartisan group of Senators released their framework for comprehensive immigration reform. Both plans call for creating a pathway to citizenship for undocumented students and shorter wait times for families awaiting reunification in the U.S. Check out HIAS’ statement on the Senate framework and read a transcript of the President’s speech.
