Hannukah, Thanksgiving, and Justice: A Festival of Lights and Liberty

This year is unique because Thanksgiving also marks the first night of Hannukah—as we gather with our loved ones to consider the miracles in our lives and what we are thankful for, we should also take a moment to consider the importance of fixing our country’s broken immigration system. Check out this incredible resource put together by our friends at HIAS Pennsylvania and the Greater Philadelphia Jewish Coalition on Immigration—it includes a special blessing for immigrants, a real story of a Sudanese refugee who was recently granted asylum in the U.S., and an action item to urge Members of Congress to support immigration reform.
