The Red Cross is seeking volunteers for its first Global Refugee Simulation and Conference in Washington, DC this spring. Volunteers “will have the unique opportunity to positively affect youth education on refugee crises and relevant international law” in a simulation of the path refugees might take fleeing from their home and the obstacles that they might experience travelling to and living in a refugee camp. The simulation will be followed by a conference that will include notable speakers and a live feed from a refugee camp.
Date(s): March 29-30, with volunteer training on February 22-23 and March 22-23.
Location: Bull Run Park, Virginia
If you are unable to commit to volunteering for this event, the Red Cross hopes you will still consider participating. More information about the event can be found here, and you can contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
