Fifth District Court of Appeals reaches decision in Texas vs. U.S.

Earlier this summer, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral arguments on President Obama’s executive actions on immigration, Deferred Action for Parental Accountability (DAPA) and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which would protect more than four million undocumented immigrants from deportation.  Click here to read an earlier blog post on Texas vs. U.S.,

Last night, the three-judge panel presiding over the the case ruled the Administration’s executive actions unconstitutional, upholding the current injunction on DAPA and DACA.  It is likely that the case will now go to the Supreme Court.
